The purpose of the commentary is to assist those who teach and those who study these lessons. I have often heard people say, “I have read the lesson, but don’t know what to do with what I have read.” The commentary is designed to open new connections and ways of thinking about the material presented by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. I use only the manual as my frame of reference.
Those who teach these lessons find it easier to pinpoint topics for class discussion. Those who serve elsewhere in the church on Sundays find reading the lesson with the commentary like having been in the class they missed because of their various church callings in the Primary, Young Men/Young Women, etc.
Free Stuff: You can download lessons 1 and 25 free of charge. This will give you an idea as to what they offer and how the commentary can help you in your studies of the manual. Unlike the lessons you pay for, feel free to share these files with your friends and neighbors. Since the lessons are copyrighted, you cannot share the lessons you pay for.

The commentary for the Gospel Principles Manual is at the bottom of the list.
